«Seven»

I bet this was thought up by the same people that subscribe to the 911 truthers... And those that try to read too much into the Nostradamus "predictions".

THE AMAZING FIRST VERSE OF THE BIBLE - You MUST see this film!

  1. That is so messed up!
    Well, where to start?
There's not enough time, but wtf? "There are seven metals of antiquity upon which civilisation was based," then the scrolling text reads:
Lead Tin Copper Mercury Silver Gold

    and? AND?

They can't even be INTERNALLY consistent!

  2. @ Linda: They left out iron. There are 7 metals of antiquity. But the entire reason there are 7 is due to human ignorance until the 13th century. Humans only knew about those 7 metals. It's no divine reason.

Then again, I suppose it is. Divinity depends on willful ignorance.

  3. While civilization was certainly based upon copper and tin (bronze) and iron, gold and silver were not used for more than decoration (and currency of course but anything valuable would have done), and mercury was just a curiosity.
