«4chan Turns 6»

The website 4chan is now 6 years old. No, I'm not going to link to it due to the content of the site. Just Google it if you really don't know it. Then dive right into the "/b/ - Random" imageboard; it's under the "Misc. (18+)" category.

All of the memes of the internet were spawned or propagated from 4chan. We owe this site for every time we've ever laughed at a Lolcat. Or chances are, most else that is funny on the internet. We also owe it for the most vile images on the internet.

It is a place of anonymity and near-absolute freedom of speech. Even if you've never been there, it has had a profound impact on what you see on the internet.

«Now I Too, Have a Flag of Anonymous»

Way back over a year ago, I asked if there was anywhere I could get a Flag of Anonymous. Well, I finally have one.

Marf's Flag of Anonymous

I bought it on eBay. Yes, this is the item I was talking about Sunday that I'd reveal. hotscubagreg2 from the US Virgin Islands was the seller. He's got tons of these flags. I've linked his name here to the items he's selling on eBay. He's legit, and a very fast shipper.

The flag is your standard sized 3x5 foot flag. After I took the picture of the flag above, I tweaked the coloring a bit in the picture to show the true color of the flag. The camera didn't pick up the green color very true to life.

Now all I need is a Guy Fawkes mask and a cult to protest.

«Finally Decided: There Is No God»

If this post ends in 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,over 9000,8,9 there is a god.
On 4chan, certain things are inexplicably "word filtered" to other things. In this example, the number 7 gets changed to "over 9000". Now obviously the intention here was to list the numbers 0-9, thus giving no chance that the last numeral in the post (No. 123668657) would be anything but what he listed1. However, he forgot about the word filter and through a strange twist of fate, the post ended in a 7. Against nearly impossible odds, the truth that there is no God still came out.

Now that's poetic justice.

1: Since there are literally hundreds of posts every minute (or even second at times), it is impossible to actually know what number your post is going to end with. It's essentially random.

«Scientology Revealed»

It took over a year since the Anonymous protests started, but the media is starting to investigate the cult of Scientology itself, instead of just the protests.

«Co$ at Work»

I can't help but notice there are videos of today's protests getting pulled from YouTube. There's no point to link to them because they're pulled, but a couple video IDs are 1fMc3YuRfh4 and OG5wBYF0dwA. These were videos of the protests in London and New York.

The cult of Scientology is suppressing freedom of speech, again. Co$ is afraid, and they're doing everything they can to discredit or silence Anonymous.

«Protests are Underway»

Scientology tried to stop the protests, but they failed. Did they really think they could get a restraining order from a group of peaceful protesters?

There's already press coverage from Adelaide, Australia, about 200 protesters there. Sadly, I don't expect much coverage from the US news. They're so wrapped up in Spitzer and his prostitute that the rest of the world doesn't even exist. I am so tired of hearing about that...

Usually Scientologists have a big party on L. Ron Hubbard's birthday. They even somehow manage to close down public roads when they have parties, as shown on July 4th, 1999 in Los Angles. (video 1) (video 2) (video 3) (video 4) (video 5)

«New Favicon»

Master Marf favicoI made a favicon for Master Marf. It's part of the work I'm doing behind the scenes in preparation of merging this blog and Realm of Marf. I figured I'd go ahead and apply the icon to the blog now. I used favicon.cc to make the icon. At first I tried to create a little dragon similar to the ones in the header, with an M stamped over the top of it. It didn't look like anything, however. You couldn't tell it was a dragon at all, and you couldn't even see the M very well either. So I went with this one; a sphere with an M across it. Kinda reminds me of the doorknob in the movie Home Alone for some reason, but whatever. I tried a double M, but that didn't work too well either. The letter M is just too damn wide, and two of them don't fit very well within a 16x16 icon. I'm satisfied for now with what I have. What do you think about the icon? At least it's not the default blogspot icon.

March 15 is fast approaching. Be ready to grab your party hat, Guy Fawkes mask, protest sign, and party hard! March 15th is L. Ron Hubbard's birthday, and Scientology deserves one hell of a celebration (protest) from Anonymous. Here's a message from Wise Bald Guy:

«Beware the Ides of March»

The next protests are set for March 15th, 2008; L. Ron Hubbard's birthday. Scientologists celebrate this day, and the protests shall crash their parties. Yes, Saint Patrick's Day happens to fall on the 15th this year. But that means there will be a lot of people out and about, more will see the protests, more will ask questions and find out the truth about this cult.

The second part is better, especially the end.

The Ides Draw Near

Remember, the protests are not just for Anonymous. Any who oppose the church should join them. No longer shall you have to hide in fear of the church. Now is the time to make your stand; you are no longer alone.

«Wise Beard Man is Pleased»

Scientology: XENU TV Salutes Anonymous

Wise Beard Man (Mark Bunker from ZENU TV) is happy, even though he almost died. Maybe his medical mishap was the work of those crazy OT VIII Scientologists... They can fly and manipulate matter and energy with a single thought, after all. *rolls eyes*

Anyway, I found this video clip that shows the protests made major news on many different news stations.

«Wise Bald Guy was Right»

I'm sure in the next few days there will be more news coverage of the protests. Pictures from many different protest locations are available at Wikinews. I suggest you take a look. Overall, I'd say it went pretty well. No reports of violence, and a fair turnout world wide. I think in time the turnout of future protests will be larger, as the general public is made aware of how dangerous and manipulative of a cult Scientology is.

A Wise Bald Guy message to Anonymous (recorded 2 days ago) [Video has been removed]

As the Wise Bald Guy says, you can tell a lot about an organization from how they respond to a protest against them. This is how Scientology responded. I suppose you can say they, too, had a "welcoming committee."

«And so it Begins»

Reports are coming in from Australia. About 150 showed up to protest the dangerous cult of Scientology in Sydney. Many wearing masks so they can't be identified by the church. London, England has drawn a protest of about 500 - 1,000 people.

«Protest Tomorrow»

Remember, tomorrow is the big protest day against the dangerous cult of Scientology. Don't do anything stupid!

Oh, I just checked, it looks like Google "fixed" the search results... No doubt due to a threat by the church of Scientology. They no longer are at the top of the search results for "Dangerous Cult".

Eh, I hate snow. And we're getting a lot of it.

«Ninjas, Pirates, and Sharks with Laser Beams»

Ok, new poll is up. In the event you're reading this some time in the future when there's a different poll, this one's about a fight between a ninja, pirate, and a shark with a laser beam attached to its head. The last one expired before I wanted it to. I forgot to set the expiration date, and I think it defaults to a week. This one I just gave about a year, I'll remove it myself when I want a different poll.

The results of the last poll, "Do you support Anonymous's war on Scientology?" was an overwhelming 10 "Yes" out of 10 total votes. I suppose that says more about the audience I've targeted more than an accurate polling of the general public.

I think the general public wants to see a mutual annihilation of both sides. But they don't quite understand what Anonymous is. They are not hackers on steroids like the media says. The media only says that because it sounds more exciting.

And I'm not saying much about Super Tuesday because I'm sure it's being blogged to death by enough people. I'll just say that my local state of Alaska voted for Obama on the democratic side, and I think we as Alaskans made the correct choice.

«The Real Way to Wage War on Scientology»

Ok, a moment of seriousness... In order for the War on Scientology to work, the DDoSing does need to stop, it doesn't really help anything other than getting media attention. They've got the media's attention now. The February 10th Protest is a very big step in the right direction, if it goes as planned.

Scientology: XENU TV Speaks to Anonymous

Watch his other videos while you're at it.

This guy knows how to proceed properly. Letters to your congressmen/government officials should be included in the War. Public protests will also get media attention, and are not illegal (if kept peaceful). Spreading information about Xenu, body thetans, etc. to the general public will also help, because anyone not properly brainwashed up to OT III will not take their beliefs seriously.

If it were just their crazy beliefs I wouldn't have much of a problem with them. But they actively abuse copyright laws, infiltrate governments, threaten innocent people, suppress freedom of speech, even kill people. They are, by all accounts a dangerous cult. The public needs to be aware of that and do something about it. Also, the act of charging people to belong, yet still being tax exempt is just wrong.

On another note, this blog wasn't intended to be an anti-Scientology blog. That's just what I've cared about lately. As my interests and passions change, so will the content and main points of the blog.

«Rules for public protests»

Anonymous has a set of rules one should follow if you participate in the February 10 Protest against Scientology. I encourage you to join their cause and participate. I would myself, but I'm about 700 miles from the nearest Scientology center. (Ketchikan is 742 miles from Anchorage and 699 miles from Seattle.)

Here are some confirmed locations. (May have slow load times, Scientology is performing their own attacks)

Here are the rules:

Rule #0: Rules 1 and 2 of the internet still apply. Your memes are not, at this juncture, something that the real world can appreciate. Although meme speak between fellow Anonymous is acceptable, focus on the target and keep it to a minimum.

Rule #1: Stay cool.

Rule #2: Stay cool, especially when harassed. You are an ambassador of Anonymous. Although individuals trying to disrupt your demonstration will get on your nerves, you must not lose your temper. Doing so will harm the protest and tarnish the reputation of Anonymous.

Rule #3: Comply with the orders of law enforcement officers above all else. Doing otherwise is harmful the demonstration as a whole and may compromise your performance as a human being. Do not request badge numbers unless you are being treated in a very abusive manner, as doing so will anger officers.

Rule #4: Notify city officials. Most jurisdictions either have rules about public protests, or would prefer to be notified that they are taking place. Know the rules for your jurisdiction and abide by them.

Rule #5: Always be across the street from the object being protested.

Rule #6: In the absence of a road, find another natural barrier between yourself and the target of protest. Doing so will make it more difficult for individuals hostile to your cause to come and harass you.

Rule #7: Stay on public property. You may be charged for trespassing if you do not.

Rule #8: No violence.

Rule #9: No weapons. The demonstration is a peaceful event. Your weapons. You will not need them.

Rule #10: No alcohol or pre-drinking. Violating this rule may easily precipitate a violation of rules 1 and 2.

Rule #11: NO graffiti, destruction, or vandalism.

Rule #12: If you want to do something stupid, pick another day. These should be self explanatory. Violation of these rules during a demonstration will tarnish the reputation of Anonymous, harm the demonstration itself and leave you vulnerable to attention from law enforcement.

Rule #13: Anonymous is legion. Never be alone. Isolation during a protest marks you as a target for handlers who wish to provoke an angry reaction from you and other hostiles. In keeping with this principle...

Rule #14: Organize in squads of 10 to 15 people.

Rule #15: One or two megaphones per squad. A megaphone is helpful for maintaining the overall cohesion of a demonstration and spreading your message. However, too many will confuse the public and render you hearing impaired.

Rule #16: Know the dress code. Forming a loose yet reasonable dress code for protest members will help to maintain cohesion and get the public to take you seriously.

Rule #17: Cover your face. This will prevent your identification from videos taken by hostiles, other protesters or security. Use scarves, hats and sunglasses. Masks are not necessary, and donning them in the context of a public demonstration is forbidden in some jurisdictions.

Rule #18: DO NOT take ID or credit cards. This will prevent your definitive identification in case you do something unseemly and get noticed by law enforcement.

Rule #19: Bring water.

Rule #20: Wear good shoes. Following these rules will assure your comfort during the demonstration. Keep in mind that demonstrations may often be quite lengthy.

Rule #21: Signs, flyers, and phrases. Have yours ready. Make sure that signs are large enough to read. Also ensure that the text on your signs and your phrases are pertinent to the target of the protest. Finally, prepare legible, uncomplicated and accurate flyers to hand out to those who wish to know more regarding the motivations behind your actions.

Finally, Rule #22: Document the demonstration. Videos and pictures of the event may be used to corroborate your side of the story if law enforcement get involved. Furthermore, posting images and videos of your heroic actions all over the internet is bound to generate win, exhorting other Anonymous to follow your glorious example.

If you follow these simple rules, the success of your action is virtually assured. However, keep in mind that the success of the demonstration as a whole hinges on the good behavior of all those who participate. Ignore these rules at your own peril. Follow them, and victory will be yours.

«February 10th, Worldwide»

Call to Action

Looks like February 10th isn't just in London. Now it's worldwide.

The video is correct, Anonymous isn't exactly some elite group of "hackers on steroids"(old video, I know.) They are everyone and they are no one. From your school teachers to your bag boys at the grocery. From lawyers and police to collage students. Sure, there are hackers as well (all walks of life, remember?). They are definitely not organized. It's more of a collective bandwagon effect. If enough of them think something is funny, then the rest of them follow.

Usually their raids are just for the lulz, but if their target deserves it, so much the better. Like the dangerous cult of Scientology. In the war on Scientology, they are taking on more of the role of Internet Vigilante. A lot of them are already saying the battle as been won. They made media attention and lulz were had.

Oh, in case you want to know what happened to Lisa McPherson and Paulette Cooper by the hands of Scientology. Or what Operation Snow White was.

I'm not saying Anonymous is innocent, but their cause is just in the War on Scientology.
