Being in a famous image in the internet however, is right up his alley.

«2010 4th of July Parade (Photo Heavy)»
The annual 4th of July parade in Ketchikan, Alaska. Although judging by how it started, I almost thought I was in Iraq or Afghanistan with all the armed soldiers marching down the street. Click an image to view full.

Then it appeared I was in Canada.

Prince Rupert, BC to be exact.

Or maybe I was in Scotland? I vote the Misty Thistle Pipes and Drums as the best performance in the parade.

Now I appear to be watching a political rally. There were floats for both Bill Walker and Lisa Murkowski (not pictured). I vote the Bill Walker float as the ugliest in the parade.

Wait, did I take a wrong turn and end up on the highway to Hell? Seriously, why was this even in the parade?

*sigh* Advertising for the new Twili- WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING DRIVING THE TRUCK!?

The Ketchikan Fire Department at their best.

A McDonald's meal, in MY parade? It's more likely than you think... At least I know I'm in America now, where the fast food goes strait to the hips.

After the parade there were hordes of people at the booths. I'm not sure why, all the booths were pretty lame.

You may notice these pictures were taken in 2 different locations. I watched the parade where it first started. Then I walked through town, catching back up to the beginning of the parade and watched it again. Yeah... I had nothing better to do that day.

«Motivational Monday: iTunes Nuke»
You've got to wounder why Apple's lawyers felt it necessary to include this in the license agreement...
I guess Apple software is a lot more powerful than I could have imagined.

«Declare War on the Moon»
So, NASA is going to (or has, depending on when you read this) "bomb" the moon. Let's hope it doesn't turn out like this: The Last Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split. But whenever they see a sign, they turn away and say, 'This is evident magic'. - al-Qamar, 54.1-2
That of course is an image from the 2002 movie Time Machine.
In reality, we could bomb the moon with all the nukes in the world and the most it would do is change the cratering a bit. And NASA isn't even nuking the moon, or even bombing it in the general sense. They're just going to purposefully crash two parts of the LCROSS spacecraft into the moon's South pole. They hope to kick up some of the surface dust and maybe some water ice crystals with it.
That's what they're looking for: water ice. If there is water on the moon then it can be used as a source of fuel (in the form of oxygen and hydrogen) for future deep space exploration missions. It takes so much energy to bring up fuel from Earth. Whereas if fuel can be made on the moon, it doesn't take too much energy to escape from the moon's gravity.
I've read some crazy things people posted who don't have a clue about it. There's people worried about mass earthquakes and tsunamis here on Earth as a result. Or changing the tidal patterns of the oceans.
Or literally split the moon. This one's my favorite. Because the prophet Muhammad split the moon 1,400 years ago, the moon is already cleft in two. So this impact is going to separate the two halves... Yeah, right1.
From the Qur'an:
There's actually people protesting to "save the moon." Just... Wow.
1: It's not just Christianity I find ridiculous. I think all the religions are. I just pick on Christianity the most because I'm exposed to it the most.

«Pleasant Little Town I Live In»
1 dead, 1 Injured in Ketchikan Shooting
There's been a lot of stabbings and shootings lately in Ketchikan. A lot for a town of this size, at least... In the event the article linked to above is about, it's believed the motive was jealousy over a girl.

«What Has Science Ever Done For Us?»
I'd imagine according to Looney, this is all Science is good for. After-all, God created and gave us everything else we have... Like computers.

«Children's Stories Gone Wrong (Part 3)»
A very short, real-world modern version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Quasimodo was a charming, well-spoken fellow, but unfortunately, misunderstood due to the way he looked. Quasimoto wanted to be like everybody else in Notre Dame. He wanted to be treated as an equal. Although a loner, one day he decided to come down and visit the town of Notre Dame. Unfortunately, once again, because of his not-so-charming apperance, people screamed in fright. A shot was fired and hit Quasimodo square in the chest. When he regained consciousness, he was in a hospital. "Doctor", Quasimodo started, "did the bullet do any damage?" "The gunshot appears to have caused only a minor flesh wound. It's that huge hump on your back that worries me. Sir, it's malignant.

Not quite your average creepy guy encounter.
*Sigh* You know you're demented when you find this funny...

«CAD Comic: How it Used to Be»
This is about the V.A.T.S. (Vault Assisted Targeting System) in Fallout 3. When you enter V.A.T.S the game pauses, zooms in on the enemy, and gives you your percent chance to hit specific parts of their body. This comic is showing what the real-life equivalent would be...
Here's a video showing the V.A.T.S. in action, as well as a few heads rolling. After selecting your targets, it shows it play out in slow motion.

«Fallout 3»
I've been playing Fallout 3. The game takes place in and around the Washington DC area in a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 2277, 200 years after the Great War. Basically everything is a nuclear wasteland. As the story goes, tensions built up between countries as oil reserves and other natural resources were used up. Eventually it came to a head in 2077 and a nuclear war sparked between the US and China. It only lasted a few hours, but it was enough to destroy civilization.
There were some underground vaults built that could sustain some humans in the event of a nuclear holocaust, although not nearly enough for everyone. Basically this is how humanity survived. Some vaults opened as early as 10 years after the Great War. As I said, the game takes place 200 years after. My character lived in vault 101, and this vault was not suppose to re-open: ever. Well, my character's father escaped so I had to go out looking for him.
Now, I'm not sure what the world would look like 200 years after a nuclear holocaust. But it appears almost none of the flora has returned yet, and although you can generally walk around without being exposed to radiation, all the water and food is still contaminated. Of course, it wouldn't be a game without horribly mutated, hostile creatures running about. And zombies (well ok, they're called feral ghouls, not zombies. They're humans that were exposed to ungodly amounts of radiation and didn't die).
I'm playing as an evil character. Why? Because it's fun, why else? The two things I'm most proud of so far are detonating a left-over nuke, crazy people built a town around it. I don't think anyone will make that mistake again. The second thing is selling a child into slavery. Usually in games children are strangely absent, because being able to kill children would raise the age rating on the game. It's nice to see children sometimes, adds to the realism (and the deliciously evil fun).

«Nuclear Submarine»
Because a nuclear submarine can't defend itself... It's being escorted by 2 Coastguard ships. This picture was taken by me on September 7th. Sorry for the bad quality, it was a few miles away from me and there's a little atmospheric disturbance in the photo.
There's a nuclear submarine testing facility near here on Back Island, so seeing the submarines is a fairly common occurrence. You can see the facility on Google Maps. I believe every nuclear submarine the US controls in the Pacific Ocean has been there before.

«Anti-American?»
Is this art anti-American? I don't really think so. It's just pointing out a few problems with our society. No country is perfect, and I'm glad to live in a country that still allows free criticism of the government. Click an image to view full.
