I just bought The Sims 3. I don't have much to say about it yet, other than this: holy crap, is there a lot of customization options!
So, I'll see you later...

Tell us more about the Sims 3, im thinking of buying it.
ReplyDeleteI am torrenting that stuff right now.. I may give in and actually do a direct download from direct2drive. Having a legit copy has it's advantages...
ReplyDelete@ stratagem: Direct2drive on the other hand, has very few advantages. The digital download version still has the SecuRom "protection" in it.
ReplyDeleteThat and the Direct2drive version requires its own version of any patch that comes out. I'd rather advocate piracy than Direct2drive...
It surprises me how I never heard of this game and suddenly it's out :P
ReplyDelete@ Ildewoodarian: A Maxis game rarely goes past my radar unnoticed. That goes for squeals of Maxis games made by other companies as well. (Sim City Societies is a good example)
ReplyDeleteThe folks at Maxis were busy with Spore, so I don't think The Sims 3 was actually made by Maxis either. However, it still has that signature Maxis humor: odd references to llamas. I haven't seen "Reticulating Splines" yet, but I haven't had a chance to play more than half a day.
@ Anonymous (#1): I made another post with a little more information: Consumed by Sims 3.
