Santa Clause is like Jesus: parents lie to their children that both exist. In reality, Santa has a stronger case for existence. He can actually be seen in many malls, and the North Pole is a real place1.
1: There's no workshop at the North Pole, but just being a real place gives it more credibility than Heaven has.

Welll, technically Heaven exists (outer space and stuff), though there's no afterlife or god there.

@ Vid: Actually, Heaven is defined as "the abode of God, the angels, and the spirits of the righteous after death; the place or state of existence of the blessed after the mortal life."
ReplyDeleteIf you're talking about outer space, or simply just the sky, there is always has an "s" at the end of the word: the heavens. So technically I'm still right.
But, it feels good to "believe". Warm and fuzzy at Christmastime does not suck. There is enough reality to bring us all down through the year, that by the end of one, we're ready for even the illusion of magic.
