Obama's first pardon: A turkey named Courage
PETA took Obama's joke literally. They congratulated Obama's children and made them honorary members of PETA Kids.Thanks to the interventions of Malia and Sasha - because I was planning to eat this sucker - Courage will also be spared this terrible and delicious fate.
What exactly is the point of the tradition of pardoning a turkey every year? From what I read, the turkey is doomed to a fate worse than death: to spend the rest of his life at the Disneyland theme park. I'm with PETA on this one, it should have been sent to a sanctuary... Or just became Thanksgiving dinner. I mean, come on... It's a turkey!

That's about the most important thing Obama has done in his presidency.
